The Venue Experts – our highlights of the year

It almost feels impossible that 2022 has come to an end already. It’s absolutely flown by, but what a lot we’ve managed to fit into the past 12 months! It’s been a massive year for The Venue Experts – and we only celebrated our 1st birthday earlier this year. We’ve achieved so much together and we’re so excited to see the business Stacey set up from her kitchen table continue to grow and exceed all of her hopes and dreams. 2022 is going to take some beating, but with engagement season around the corner, we have a feeling 2023 is going to be our best yet. Here, we round up our highlights of the year. 2022, you’ve been amazing…

Our growing team

It’s crazy to think we started the year as a core team of four – Stacey, Henry, EJ and Joel. The Venue Experts is now made up of 12 incredible people, who work harder than any other team we know. Our sales team has grown, adding some amazingly talented and passionate people to the fold. This means we can now handle all the outsourced sales for even more wedding venues.

As well as this, The Venue Experts now have our own Marketing department. This was one of Stacey’s business goals for 2022 and without a doubt one of our highlights of the year. Headed up by our super-skilled head of Marketing, Helen, who comes with invaluable hands-on wedding industry experience, the team includes Haya, our Marketing Assistant and in-house copywriter, Ellianah, our Junior Marketing Assistant and TikTok queen, and the fantastic Sufyann, our website expert and all-round tech savvy genius.

One to watch

One of our highlights of the year was when our superstar CEO and founder, Stacey, was named one of the 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch by The Telegraph and NatWest. As well as being featured in a special 8-page supplement in The Daily Telegraph, Stacey was also invited to the House of Commons for a lunch reception with the other winners – something she described as “a real ‘pinch-me’ moment”! Receiving such recognition for everything Stacey has put into making the business what it is today has left The Venue Experts on such a high. It’s fantastic to see Stacey take her place alongside so many other inspirational women in the list, who are making ground-breaking strides in the business world.

Charity fundraising

Another unforgettable moment this year was throwing our first ever charity ball. On the 8th December, we held the Enchanted Evening Charity Ball at the spectacular Prestwold Hall. What a night! From Elsa the horse welcoming guests, to the heavenly harp music, out-of-this-world food and dancing ‘til late, our guests were treated to the very best as we came together to raise money for Living Without Abuse, a charity very close to Stacey’s heart.

The Venue Experts team loved getting the chance to dress up for the night (and wow did everyone look gorgeous and glamorous!), but without a doubt the best part was raising over £3k for our charity. Thank you to all of those who helped make the night such a success and one of our highlights of the year.

Going international

Stacey has a very clear 5-year vision for The Venue Experts, and already we’re ticking those goals off the list. 2022 was the year The Venue Experts went international! In September, we started working with the unbelievably beautiful wedding venue, The Abbey in Co. Kildare. It was love at first sight when Stacey flew over to look around The Abbey – seriously, this place has the wow-factor – and we’re really excited for what the future holds working with this wonderful venue.

Just last week we announced that Le Ciel, a truly stunning wedding venue in Santorini, is another new addition to our roster of clients at The Venue Experts. To say the team are counting down the days until we visit this luxury Greek venue next year is an understatement! We can’t wait to raise the profile of Le Ciel and get those bookings flying in in 2023.
